Wow. Today was truly a historical event. I feel amazingly fortunate to have been able to watch Barack Obama take his Oath of Office, even if only by means of the TV. Our lives have changed, but the even more amazing thing is that our lives continue on. It says something about our country when such a huge change has taken place, and we are able to continue our day-to-day lives. No major riots, no revolt, no rebellions. In a day and age far from now, this type of change was unheard of without a major violent incident to precede it. Today I am proud of our country for the first time in years. |
